Residential Living Wall Pairs Façade Greening with Modern Architecture
Residential Webnet Greening, Waterloo
Façade greening was once associated only with old, romantic buildings, with the technique having been used for hundreds of years. However, the introduction of Jakob rope & rod and Webnet trellis residential living wall systems now allows for greening to also blend seamlessly with modern architecture – bringing greening into the 21st century.
Designed using Webnet wire mesh as the main part of the trellis for plants to climb up, this residential living wall (also known as a green wall) compliments the apartment block’s bold façade, with the stainless steel trellis combining perfectly with the façade’s colour. The climbing plants follow the flow of the trellis, giving an appearance of nature taking hold.
Residential green walls offer the same benefits as commercial green wall systems, including economic, environmental and ecological advantages. A few of the benefits that living walls provide include improving aesthetics, providing wildlife habitats, protecting building façades and improving air quality.
In addition to designing, supplying and installing residential green walls, we also offer large scale commercial green wall systems. If you would like any information or have any questions about our residential or commercial living wall systems, please do not hesitate to contact us.
